TJMS Mission Statement

 Career Camp 2008
Tech Talk This summer, the Frederick County Career & Technology Center will hold its 16th annual Career Camp. This half-day summer experience will provide students with the opportunity to explore two appealing career choices. The classes are designed to challenge and expose students to real-world challenges, as well as to provide them with exposure to both skilled and professional careers so that they can make informed decisions regarding their future careers and educational choices.

This year’s camp will be available to all current 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students.
Students will attend two classes/programs each day of camp. A mid-morning snack and beverage will be served between classes.
Camp will be held: Monday, June 23 – Friday, June 27

 Summer Program Options for Elementary and Middle School Students
Renzulli Corner Following is a list of summer program options for children in the Frederick area. The list certainly is not inclusive, but provides some possible options that address a wide variety of student interests. In providing the list, the Office of Gifted and Talented Education of Frederick County Public Schools is not endorsing or promoting the programs, but is simply offering information as a service to parents and children. The programs, phone numbers and web addresses are accurate as of May 2007, but subject to change without notice:

It’s easy! It’s confidential! And there’s no need to print or mail anything.

1. Go to www.fcps.org
2. Click the survey icon on the home page (English or Spanish)
3. Complete the survey, click “submit,” and you’re done!

Need computer time? TJ Middle computer labs will be available on the following dates for taking the survey.
May 6 & 8
May 13 & 15
You can use the computers in room 142. Mr. Bollino will be available to help you take the survey. Or visit a public library near you.

Please remember the May 19 deadline! At FCPS parents count. Your support goes a long way in building a first-class school system.

*Schools also have some paper versions in English and Spanish for parents who don’t have Internet access.
